Mihir Garh, a member of Relais & Châteaux, is a small luxury boutique hotel outside of Jodhpur.
Mihir Garh, also known as the ‘fortress of the sun,’ stands amidst the golden sands of the Marwar desert. One of the hotel’s unique offers is its equestrian program, through which guests can get acquainted with a prized and rare Marwari horse over an exhilarating trot through the unspoiled desert wilderness. The hotel organizes many activities in the local area – bird watching excursions and ‘cultural safaris’ to the urban center of Jodhpur.
Mihir Garh is made up of 9 suites, each 1700 sq. feet, and decorated with hand-picked artisanal furniture and colorful regional accents. Each suite has either a private plunge pool or an outdoor jacuzzi and offers expansive views unobstructed by civilization. Mihir Garh is a secret and tranquil oasis. The chef serves delicious homemade local dishes in the hotel’s intimate restaurant. The hotel is the recipient of several accolades, including Lonely Planet’s “most extraordinary hotel in the world."
